THE PITCH • DOCUMENTARY

Client: Tall Tale Productions

Director Mike Eisenberg approached me to create the motion graphics to accompany his newest documentary, The Pitch. The Pitch takes a unique look at the U.S. health care system’s challenge to embrace the next generation of patient safety. Namely, how AI Technologies will soon begin to enter the Healthcare space.

Storyboarding in motion design is like making a comic strip to plan out your animation. You draw simple sketches of each scene to show what’s happening, how things move, and where the "camera" will be. Notes and arrows help explain actions and movements. It’s the blueprint for bringing your story to life with motion and animation!

First things first, we need to get a rudimentary storyboard made.

Now that we know what we’re making, let’s get the style nailed down

This is where we decide things like what color palette to use and what feeling we want the visuals to convey

Styleframes are like snapshots of how your animation will look and feel. They’re detailed illustrations that show the colors, lighting, and design style you want to use. Unlike storyboards, which focus on action and movement, styleframes focus on the mood and visual vibe. They help everyone on the team imagine the finished piece before it’s animated!

Time for the fun stuff! We know the content, we know the style, now we bring it to life

Did you know? 100% of Chip Nash’s love this part the most

When creativity knows no bounds, my quirky approach to art direction, motion design, and animation brings ideas to life in the most vibrant and unexpected ways. I’m a huge fan of pushing the envelope and bending the norms, crafting visual stories that ignite imagination and spark ideas. Every frame is a canvas, and every motion tells a tale waiting to be explored. If you would like to join me on this whimsical journey, where the only limit is your imagination, give me a shout!
